Projects

These are the cultural experiences I have built. They are the practical foundation behind the CAAP™ framework — real projects with real audiences that proved Chinese cultural experiences can succeed commercially on the international stage.

Lightopia Festival

A large-scale immersive light festival combining traditional Chinese lantern craftsmanship with modern technology, storytelling, and experience design.

Lightopia transforms parks and outdoor spaces into immersive night-time worlds filled with illuminated sculptures, themed installations, interactive experiences, and water shows.

Results

  • 15 cities across the UK and Europe
  • 32 large-scale events
  • 964 exhibition nights
  • 2.65 million visitors
  • BBC coverage more than 14 times
  • Blue Peter appearance
  • Eventex Grand Prix 2021 and 2022 (highest honour at the global events industry awards)
  • 5 Gold + 4 Silver (2021), 4 Gold + 3 Silver (2022)
  • Third most awarded event globally at Eventex

Lightopia proved that Chinese cultural craftsmanship can become a successful international cultural product at commercial scale.

Immersia XR Walking Theatre

A new immersive storytelling format where audiences wear XR headsets and physically walk through story-driven environments.

The concept is story-led XR — technology supports the narrative, rather than dominating the experience. Visitors don’t sit and watch. They walk inside the story.

Current experiences

  • Alice in Wonderland
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
  • Moon Landing

Vision

Create a new category of immersive entertainment that combines theatre, storytelling, XR technology, and physical exploration — suitable for families, tourists, and anyone who loves stories.
